Dr. Khris Crowe is the Red River Reproduction Center and Crowe Performance Horses attending veterinarian. She is a graduate of the Univ. Of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduation she was employed by Tom Chauncey Arabians, Scottsdale, AZ as a resident veterinarian then as head veterinarian and manager of the breeding facility and ranch that was home to over 800 world class Arabian horses. After 9 years in Arizona she attended the Univ. of Illinois where she completed a surgery residency and obtained a Post-Doctoral Masters Degree and was awarded the American College of Veterinary Surgeons National Award for Equine Research.
In the mid - 1990's Dr. Crowe conducted research funded by the AQHA at the Scripps Institute in La Jolla, California and the Univ. of Georgia.
While running her successful private equine practice that she developed in Athens, Georgia Dr. Crowe was voted 2001 Georgia Equine Veterinarian Of The Year. All while continuing to publish articles on a variety of topics such as equine reproduction, emergency medicine, surgery, dentistry and general care.
From 2003-2007 Dr. Crowe worked in North Texas and Southern Oklahoma with some of the performance horse industries top trainers and breeding facilities foaling out over 1,500 mares and performing hundreds of successful embryo transfers. Dr. Crowe is currently employed by Weems and Stephens Equine Hospital and conducts a large mobile equine practice in North Texas and Southern Oklahoma.
Carlton Crowe has owned and operated or managed training, showing and breeding facilities for the past 25 years. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a BSA in Agronomy. While at the University of Georgia he managed and conducted animal nutrition research studies and is the author or co-author of over 15 published scientific papers on animal nutrition.
His experience in the equine industry includes 23 years of International judging of National Reining Horse Association approved events, 3 years on the Board of Directors for the N.R.H.A. and a contributing author for the Reiner magazine.
Carlton has successfully shown in the National Reining Horse Association to many championships, year end awards and futurity wins. He is an AQHA World Show Finalist and an ABRA World Champion Reiner. Additionally, as a member of AQHA's Professional Horsemen he has coached many non-pro riders to the top of their game, teaching them the art of reining and how to ride and show a winning reining horse.
